14.06.16: This Just Keeps Getting Better

Forza Horizon 3 Teaser

I've been waiting for the E3 announcement for a few months now and just looking at the screenshots, the trailer and reading the news stories I gotta say I'm not disappointed. I've said before and I'll say it again I'm more of an Horizon driver than a Motorsport one. I just love cruising around a large open world environment and the Australian setting for FH3 just looks fantastic.

I'm actually Australian but this hasn't affected my first impression of FH3 - I would have loved it wherever I might have come from. Australia is a huge and varied landscape and it's encouraging to see that Playground Games have included a lot of it's variety such as the tropical north east, the western deserts of the Northern Territory and the coast roads of South Australia which are thousands of kilometers apart.

I'll be pre-ordering the Ultimate edition but I'll wait 'til the game goes Gold sometime in September before I do the transaction. There was a problem for a lot of FM6 digital pre-orders with the FM6 download not downloading properly which a bit of simple patience will make avoidable.

11.06.16: Ha ha. I'm Getting Even Richer!

Forza 6 Stats Screen

Back in February I posted a comment about how rich FM6 will make you. I had a bit more than 60 million CR on that day. Well I've been doing some more driving and now I'm even richer. Now I've got a staggering 126 million CR and man! It's nice to be rich.

I've been doing my sums and I figure I've now got enough loot to buy all the cars in the game. I've got 242 cars so far but I figure about 90 of these have been DLC or gift cars, either loyalty cars, VIP gifts or community gifts. This leaves me with about 150 cars which I've either won on Prize Spins or I've actually bought with my hard earned cash.

Forum reports suggest that the total cost of all the cars is about 162 million CR, so 162 minus 126 leaves me with about 36 million CR which I'm guessing will be the value of the 150 cars I've bought or won. The only question really is do I want all those cars?

I'm usually pretty careful with my loot in real life so I'm not in any hurry to blow it all on a bunch of cars which I may not even look at much less actually drive. Out of the 242 cars I've got I've driven maybe 20 or 30 of them so there's just not an urgent need for more cars.

I'm glad I've got this much loot though and I thank T10 for making FM6 a pretty rich economy. It's just a nice feeling when you're not scratching around for enough to buy a cup of coffee or whatever it is you desire.

Just three days to the Xbox E3 presentation - can't wait!
